Homemade Mushroom Salad


There are several mushroom salads in the Mushroom Lovers’ Cookbook but none are like my recipe.   Cannot give away my secrets!  Great memories having a little helper in the kitchen (he is 40 years old now and a great cook) and in recent years a Grandchild learning Mom Mom’s secret.

Ingredients are sliced white mushrooms (I slice each one with an egg slicer), organic celery, carrots & garlic, black & green olives, onions, seasonings, olive oil & vinegar.

Although not labeled the PH has been tested. It is 4.2 – needs to be below 4.5.  We sell this in 1 pint Mason jars. It is not processed.  Refrigeration is only suggested.  Vinegar preserves it.  Salad is now being made by a chef in one of our local Kennett Square Restaurants.
